Most travellers plan a Leh Ladakh trip from Delhi. Our Leh Ladakh tours start and end in Leh, so you travel from Delhi to Leh yourself, usually by a short flight, and join the group on day 1.
Delhi to Leh by air
The quickest way is a direct flight from Delhi to Leh, which takes about an hour and a half. Flights are not included in our price, so book yours once you have picked a batch. We meet you at Leh airport and take you to the hotel.
Delhi to Leh by road
Two mountain highways reach Leh from the south and west, and both close in winter. Driving from Delhi takes several days with overnight stops, so it suits riders who want the road as part of the trip. Check the current road status with us before you plan it.
Why day 1 is a rest day
Leh sits at about 3,500 m. Flying in from Delhi takes you from near sea level to that height in a few hours, so the first day of our tour is deliberately empty. Drink water, walk slowly and attend the evening briefing with the trip captain.
