For a Leh Ladakh trip the best bike is the one you can ride comfortably for five days at altitude. On our guided tour you choose between the Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 and the newer Himalayan 450, and the fuel, mechanic and backup vehicle are the same for both.
Himalayan 411: the proven choice
The Himalayan 411 is the bike most Ladakh riders know. It has an air-cooled 411 cc engine, long-travel suspension and a relaxed riding position, and it is the lower-priced option on our tour. Spare parts and mechanics are easy to find in Leh.
- Two riders sharing one bike: ₹19,999 per person
- Solo rider: ₹24,999
Himalayan 450: the newer bike
The Himalayan 450 has a larger liquid-cooled engine and more modern electronics. It suits riders who want more power on the climbs to Khardung La and Chang La and do not mind paying more.
- Two riders sharing one bike: ₹23,999 per person
- Solo rider: ₹29,999
Which one should you pick?
Pick the 411 if this is your first Himalayan ride, you want the lowest price or you like a bike you can fix on the road. Pick the 450 if you ride regularly, want extra power at altitude and are happy to pay for it. Either way, the first day in Leh is a rest day, and our mechanic checks the bikes every evening.
Can you bring your own bike?
The package includes a Royal Enfield Himalayan with fuel. If you want to bring your own bike, message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you how it works.
