Spiti tour from Chandigarh, Mumbai or Bangalore: how to join

Going to Spiti from Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Kolkata or Ahmedabad? How to join our Delhi departure, what is included and what you pay extra.

Updated 7 Nov 2026 4 min read

Many of the people who book our Spiti trips live outside Delhi, in Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and other cities. Our Spiti tours start and end in Delhi, so the only extra step is your journey to and from Delhi. Here is how to plan it.

How the trip is set up

All three of our Spiti trips run from Delhi to Delhi. The summer tour and the winter expedition are 8 nights and 9 days: you meet the team in Delhi and board an overnight AC Volvo to Shimla. The summer tour returns by Volvo from Manali to Delhi, and on the winter expedition the last day is the drive from Shimla back to Delhi. The Spiti bike trip is 9 nights and 10 days: the overnight Volvo goes to Bhuntar near Kullu, and you return by Volvo from Manali.

Getting to Delhi from your city

Fly into Delhi so that you arrive before the evening Volvo on day 1. Your captain shares the exact pickup point and time before departure, so book your flight after you receive them. Flights are not included in our price.

Getting home afterwards

On the summer tour you reach Delhi on the morning of day 9, and on the bike trip on the morning of day 10, so an afternoon or evening flight home works. On the winter expedition day 9 is the 8 to 10 hour drive from Shimla to Delhi, so plan a late-evening flight or the next day. Road timings in the mountains can change either way, so leave a few hours in hand.

What you pay

The summer Spiti tour starts at ₹17,999 per person on triple sharing (₹20,999 on dual sharing) plus 5% GST, and the Spiti bike trip and the winter expedition both start at ₹32,999. The Volvo tickets from Delhi, the vehicle or motorcycle, permits, stays and meals as listed on the trip page are included. Your flight to and from Delhi is the extra cost.

From Chandigarh

Chandigarh sits between Delhi and Shimla, so you have two options. You can travel to Delhi and board the group's overnight Volvo on day 1, or, on the summer tour and the winter expedition, ask the team whether you can meet the group in Shimla on the morning of day 2, which is about 115 km from Chandigarh by road. The Spiti bike trip leaves Delhi for Bhuntar near Kullu, so ask the team about joining that one too. Joining on the way does not change the package price.

Joining in Shimla or Manali instead

The group passes through Shimla on day 2 and, on the summer tour, ends in Manali on day 8. If joining or leaving there would suit you better, ask the team on WhatsApp and they will tell you what is possible for your batch.
